Wetnose - 63’/19m
s/v Wetnose
LOA: 63'/19m
Wetnose is a 19m ocean going cruising yacht by Van da Stadt. She had a full repaint during the winter of '08 in our facilities at Gulf Harbour.
Being of steel construction and with some dubious hose connections in the deck coamings there was extensive corrosion that resulted in the entire back half of the coamings & coaming floor being replaced.
To do this all the headliner in the owner's cabin had to be removed along with insulation and then fully protect the African Cherry wood interior from sparks and fire risk so that the welders could remove the corroded steel and weld in new plates. After the new coamings were reinstated TOG sand blasted the substrate and applied primers and fillers ready for painting.
TOG also coordinated the sub-trades to remove and replace teak margin planks, construct and install new head liners and electrical items.
